Pest control Kapunda

Insect Invasion covers Kapunda and Freeling as part of our regular Barossa-and-beyond round — about 20 minutes from our Nuriootpa base, and well-trodden ground for Garry and Josh since 2009.

Kapunda is one of Australia's oldest mining towns, and its housing stock wears that history: miner's cottages, stone villas and grand old buildings with thick walls, cellars, high ceilings and a century-plus of little gaps. Character like that comes with tenants — webbing spiders in the deep eaves and outbuildings, mice finding their way through weathered vents and door seals every autumn, and ants working the old paving and garden edges each spring.

Out at Freeling and on the surrounding farmland, the pressure shifts with the paddocks: harvest and the first cold snaps push rodents toward sheds and homes, and the open country keeps fly numbers up through summer.
