Worried about termites (white ants)? Insect Invasion can arrange a termite inspection and, if it's needed, termite treatment for homes and businesses across the Barossa Valley and Gawler. The termite work is done by a licensed termite specialist Garry works with. Garry organises it, so you still have one local contact.
Our own work stays the same: general pest control for spiders, ants, cockroaches, rats and mice and the other household pests. Termites are specialist work, so we hand that part to someone licensed for it rather than pretend otherwise.
How it works
- Call Garry or send the form below and tell him what you've noticed, or that you just want the place checked.
- Garry arranges a termite inspection with the licensed termite specialist he works with, at a time that suits you.
- The specialist inspects the property and talks you through what they find, and any treatment options if termites are there.
- If you'd like a general pest treatment as well, Garry or Josh can look after that side as usual.
Signs of termites to look out for
Termites usually stay hidden inside timber, so the signs are easy to miss. Things worth a closer look:
- Mud tubes or mud trails running up walls, piers, stumps or along foundations
- Timber that sounds hollow when tapped, or skirting boards and door frames that feel soft
- Doors or windows that suddenly start sticking
- Swarms of small winged insects, or piles of dropped wings near windows and lights
- Mud packed into cracks or joints in timber
If you find termites, try not to disturb them or spray them yourself. Leave them be and call Garry so the specialist sees them as they are.
