Our commitment

This website is operated by Insect Invasion, a family-run pest control business servicing the the Barossa Valley & Adelaide suburbs. We are committed to making it usable by as many people as possible, whatever device, browser or assistive technology you use, and to fixing accessibility problems when they are pointed out to us.

The standard we work towards

We aim to align this website with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at Level AA, published by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C). We don't claim full conformance — but those guidelines are the benchmark we build and review against.

What we've built in

Accessibility features of this website include:

• a “skip to content” link at the top of every page for keyboard and screen-reader users;
• full keyboard operability, with a clearly visible focus outline on links, buttons and form fields;
• respect for your system's reduced-motion setting — if you prefer less movement, the site's animations are turned down;
• a logical heading structure and semantic landmarks (header, main content, footer) so screen readers can navigate quickly;
• text alternatives for meaningful images;
• text and background colours chosen for readable contrast; and
• a responsive layout that works on phones and tablets and supports browser zoom.

Known limitations

Some content on our home page is loaded from Facebook using Facebook's own page plugin. Because that content is built and served by Facebook, we can't control how accessible it is. Nothing important lives only in that feed — everything you need to contact us or request a quote is available on the site itself.
