About these terms

These terms apply to quotes we give and pest control work we carry out for you as a customer of Insect Invasion, a family-run pest control business servicing the the Barossa Valley & Adelaide suburbs. By asking us for a quote or booking a job, you agree to these terms. They don't change any rights you have that can't be excluded under law — see “Your consumer rights” below.

Quotes and estimates

Quotes are free and come with no obligation. A quote is our good-faith estimate based on the information you give us and, where relevant, what we see on site. If the situation turns out to be different from what was described — for example, a larger area, harder access, or a different pest than expected — we'll talk to you and agree any change before we do the work. Unless we say otherwise, a quote is valid for 30 days.

Bookings and access

When you book a treatment, we'll agree a time that suits you. So we can do the job properly and safely, please:

• make sure we can safely access the areas that need treating;
• secure or remove pets from the areas we'll be working in;
• let us know about children, pregnancy, allergies, fish tanks, beehives or anything else we should take care around; and
• tell us about any known hazards on the property before we start.

If we can't safely access the site or carry out the work when we arrive, we may need to reschedule.

Our work

We'll carry out the pest control work we've agreed with you, using professional products applied safely and in line with the manufacturer's directions and our training. We treat what we've agreed to treat — we don't upsell work you don't need. Pest control depends on things partly outside our control, such as the type and severity of the problem, the condition of the property, the weather, and steps you take (or don't take) after a treatment, so we can't promise a specific outcome unless we've agreed one in writing.

Pricing and payment

Prices are in Australian dollars. Insect Invasion is not registered for GST, so no GST is added to our prices. Unless we agree otherwise, payment is due on completion of the work by the method we arrange with you. If you have any question about a price, please raise it with us before the work goes ahead.

Changes, cancellations and rescheduling

If you need to change or cancel a booking, please give us as much notice as you reasonably can so we can offer the time to someone else. If we need to reschedule — for example, because of weather or an issue with site access — we'll contact you to arrange another time as soon as we can.

After your treatment

For your safety and the best result, please follow any aftercare advice we give you — for example, keeping children and pets away from treated areas for the time we recommend, ventilating rooms, or leaving treated surfaces undisturbed. If you're seeing an ongoing problem after a treatment, get in touch and we'll discuss the best way to sort it out.

Liability

We take reasonable care in everything we do. To the extent permitted by law, we are not responsible for loss or damage that we could not reasonably have foreseen, or that results from something outside our reasonable control or from information or access not being provided to us. Nothing in these terms limits our liability where it would be unlawful to do so.

Your consumer rights

Our services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. Nothing in these terms removes, restricts or changes those rights. If something goes wrong with our service, please contact us so we can make it right.

Privacy

We handle the personal information you give us in line with our privacy policy, which explains what we collect, how we use it and how to access or correct it.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time to reflect changes to our business or the law. The current version is always the one published on this page.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of South Australia, and any dispute will be dealt with by the courts of South Australia.
